Have a Family Member(s) Veterans?
During the MLE Veterans Day assembly there will is a slide show with pictures of veterans (or active duty personnel) who are family members of MLE students and staff.
If you have a veteran in your family, please send a picture of your veteran(s) in uniform so we can include them in our slide show. Your picture(s) will be returned. You may send the picture(s) to school or email them to Karen Sorge at sorgek@edmonds.wednet.edu
Deadline to turn in your picture is TOMORROW Monday, November 4th.
Include with the picture:
· The name, room #, and grade of student(s) and
· Student(s) relationship to the veteran.
· Name of the Veteran
· Rank of the Veteran
· Years the Veteran was in service and/or name of the war they served in
· Any awards they may have received.
If you have sent in a picture before, feel free to email Karen at sorgek@edmonds.wednet.edu, to be sure that we still have it for the November 2019 slide show.

MLE Attendance
Reproductive Health and Disease Prevention Parent Review Night Thursday
A preview night for families to learn about the Reproductive Health and Disease Prevention Curriculum that is taught in grades 5-12.
Families are welcome to review the complete FLASH and KNOW curricula and get answers to their questions. The evening is meant to be a drop in event; there is no formal presentation planned. There will be health teachers, classroom teachers, and a school nurse present to help answer questions about sexual reproduction lessons, HIV/AIDS lessons, and puberty lessons which are all a part of the FLASH & KNOW curriculum.
