How Do I Know if Martha Lake Elementary is Closed, or Has a Late Start Due to Weather?

Weather Emergency Notice for Families

Ice is Never 100% Safe Stay Off the Ice!

Colder temperatures may freeze some water but ice is NEVER 100% safe for people or animals! Don’t trust the ice it doesn’t get cold enough here, or stay cold enough here for safe ice.

Quick, easy & good for the environment too!

PTA needs your pictures for yearbook candid photos. Please email them to

*Do You Have a School Year Calendar?
It shows you when school is closed, students are released early (at 11:40 am), etc. Please see the attached 1 page calendar here: https://www.edmonds.wednet.edu/cms/one.aspx?portalid= 306754&pageid=1721873 or ask for a paper calendar in the school office.

*PLEASE HELP! PTA Needs YOU 3 Hours Per Month, or 2 Hours Per Week

Your student benefits from PTA and so does all of MLE... money for classrooms, free movie nights, paid assemblies, food drives, and more.

A VicePresident (~320 hours per month), and Secretary (24 hours per week) are needed.

Can’t do that much time? Recruit a friend and split the job for 2 people. It works great!

For more information, contact: president@marthalakepta.com.

Training and tools are available to help you succeed in these important tasks to help our MLE community.

We Recently Needed to Call a Guardian/Parent and Didn’t Have Their Updated Contact Information. Do We Have Yours?
Please check with the office, or the student/family database called Skyward to see that your contact information is current, and let us know if it needs to be changed. For example, if your student is sick, it will help us contact you.

Here’s a video to watch with your student/s. Thank you for keeping all in our MLE community safe!
